We are sending a big THANK YOU to Karen Parker and Lianne Petrocelli for coming to the Dynamic Landscapes conference with us last week. We couldn't have done it without you and the MCS delegation was a HUGE hit with conference attendees. I will get the pictures up as soon as I come out of orbit from this crazy four day week!
This is why the week has been crazy!! The sixth graders are just about wrapped and ready to send this puppy to the printer, so time is running out for your pre-order and ad sales are closed! Any K-5 students who want a yearbook need to pre-order (see the MCS newsletter for the form or just send in $10) to be sure that we print enough. We will not be ordering extra books so that we can keep print costs affordable and not have tons of extras.
This is ALSO why the week has been crazy! The Makerfaire is in a week and the kids are doing some great work. Please stop by between 1 and 2:45pm on Thursday for a cruise through. You will learn some Science, I swear!
Camping Is Coming
We are getting close to our overnight at Camp Common Ground. Please remember to send in $35 with your camper to cover the cost of meals for the two days (a breakfast, two lunches, and a dinner). We have pulled together a list of supplies (both must-haves and would-be-nice-to-have), so check it out. Once cabin assignments are made public, kids might want to share the load with their cabinmates because some supplies can be used by everyone in the cabin (for example, bug spray). A Message From Nurse Nancy: If any of the camping trip participants will need to take routine, prescription, non-prescription, or emergency medications while on the field trip, specific forms need to be signed by a parent or legal guardian. These medications are to be in their original, properly labeled bottles and doctor's prescription orders with instructions for administration and delivered to school prior to the morning of the trip or they can not be given.
|Lice have been spotted. Grr...|
Books from the classroom library and the MCS Library need to start coming back in for inventory. Please send them in when you find them; we will make sure they get back to the correct shelf.
